STUDENT PEER MENTORING PROGRAM
MISSION
The Chamberlain University Student Peer Mentor Program aims to foster a community with students where they can share their unique educational experiences and co‐curricular interests to be confident and successful in navigating through their academic program.
VISION
The Chamberlain University Student Peer Mentor Program aims to facilitate empowering, supportive, meaningful mentor relationships between student peer mentors and student mentees to foster overall student success.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- Participants register and complete a questionnaire, which takes 10 to 15 minutes.
- Students may participate as a student peer mentor or student mentee.
- Students will be paired with a student peer mentor who best matches their academic and career interests. Student mentee and mentors will be paired based on who best matches with academic and career interests.
- Once the mentor relationship has been established, the student peer mentor-mentee pair then agree on goals and communication preferences.
- Throughout the program, student peer mentors and student mentees will have multiple opportunities to provide feedback to the program administration to help enhance and improve the program.
- Upon the program's completion, which operates over a three-session period, student peer mentors and can participate in the Alumni Mentoring Program to continue their mentoring experience.
